Weekglass or Sunsama?
Sunsama is a daily planner you operate; Weekglass is a week your AI keeps. Sunsama gives you a guided planning ritual, many work-tool integrations and years of polish, and it now has an MCP server, so Claude can work in it too. The difference is who the product is built around: Weekglass hands the planning to the assistant you already use (Claude or ChatGPT), which proposes changes you approve in one tap and can undo. If you like planning by hand every morning, Sunsama is the more mature choice. If you'd rather your assistant do the drafting and you decide, Weekglass is built for that.
Side by side
| Sunsama | Weekglass | |
|---|---|---|
| Who plans | You, with a guided daily and weekly ritual | Your own Claude or ChatGPT drafts; you approve, reject or undo |
| Focus | The workday: tasks from work tools onto a calendar | The whole week: work, goals, habits, and optionally body and sleep |
| AI | "AI + MCP + Zapier" on its plan: an official MCP server lets Claude read and change your Sunsama, and the guided ritual stays the core | No assistant of its own to learn: your Claude or ChatGPT does the thinking on the plan you already pay for. The few helpers Weekglass runs itself (onboarding, Jarvis, Glints) use Claude. |
| Integrations | Many work tools (task managers, mail, calendars) | Google Calendar; anything else your assistant can reach through its own connectors |
| Price | $22 a month, or $17 a month billed yearly; 14-day trial without a card | Free during the private beta |
| Maturity | A finished product, on the market for years (Y Combinator, 2019) | Private beta, by invitation |
| Where data is stored | See Sunsama's own privacy policy | Frankfurt, Germany |
Choose Sunsama if
- The daily planning ritual itself is what helps you, and you want to do it by hand.
- Your tasks live in work tools Sunsama integrates with, and you plan mostly the workday.
- You want a finished product today rather than a beta.
Choose Weekglass if
- You already plan in Claude or ChatGPT and want the result to stay put on a board.
- You want every change an assistant makes to wait for your tap, and to be undoable.
- Your week is more than work: a thesis, training, a move, and they share the same seven days.
What Weekglass is, in one paragraph
Weekglass is one calm board (today, the week, your goals) that your own Claude or ChatGPT fills through a connector and keeps current. Every change an assistant makes is a proposal you approve in one tap, carries its author, and can be undone. Routines on your assistant's scheduler prepare the morning and the Sunday look-back. Data is stored in Frankfurt, Germany, and you can export or delete all of it in Settings. It's a private beta: free, by invitation, for one person and their own week, not for teams.
